Dr. Demetrios N. Simopoulos is Assistant Professor of Urology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and co-director of the Prostate Cancer Active Surveillance program at the Brady Urological Institute. He earned his M.D. from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his residency in urological surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He practiced urology in independent practice before pursuing fellowship training with Dr. Leonard Marks at UCLA. His clinical and academic interests include MRI targeted biopsy, active surveillance and focal therapy to manage and treat prostate cancer and health policy.
