The course will address and review the common mistakes made by Urologists and Advanced Practitioners that exposes them to an increased risk of being named in a malpractice suit and factors that make it harder to have an effective defense. Being sued may be inevitable but being found guilty of negligence does not have to be. The course will review common errors in record keeping, errors that the EMR exposes you to and how to properly document your medical record.
This course will offer practical advice and important suggestions that can prevent a lawsuit from being brought and methods that have worked well to prevent a finding of malpractice in the event the claim is filed. The course will offer real case examples to illustrate the do’s and don’t’s of medical malpractice litigation. The course will explain how your hospital may let you believe that they are on your side but how there can be inherent conflicts of interest that expose you to individual liability.
The course will take you through a mock deposition and cross examination so you can learn how to avoid legal traps.
