Scientific Session - 8:00 - 9:30 am
The clinical management of prostate cancer is evolving rapidly with the emergence of new therapeutic strategies for nonmetastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer and metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer. The use of biomarkers and tumor molecular assays is also changing the way prostate cancer is managed, through better risk stratification and more individualized treatment recommendations. These recent developments pose many challenges for urologists and other healthcare professionals who are involved in the multidisciplinary management of patients with prostate cancer. In this program, a panel of prostate cancer experts will address these challenges reviewing the latest National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN®) guidelines and supporting evidence while providing their insights for incorporating this information into clinical practice.
