Establilshed in 2014, PARC Urology focuses on proximal hypospadias repair and reoperations, with patients traveling to Dallas from 48 states and over 40 countries around the world for the expertise of Dr Snodgrass and his colleague, Dr Nicol Bush. In the spirit of Horton and Devine, Dr Snodgrass and Dr Bush work together as a surgical team to provide optimal care to boys, teens and adults with penile birth defects.
Dr Snodgrass is known worldwide for the TIP hypospadias repair, commonly referred to as the "Snodgrass repair". He and Dr Bush have also refined the 2-stage graft operation into a procedure they refer to as the STAG repair (Staged Tubularized Auto-Graft). Using these 2 techniques they are able to repair any primary or reoperative hypospadias, which simplifies decision-making and allows surgeons to focus on performing the operation optimally.
He is the most published surgeon on hypospadias repair in history, including scientific articles, editorials and a textbook on the subject entitled HYPOSPADIOLOGY. Dr Snodgrass is also an innovator in surgical education, producing webinars and maintaining a YouTube channel showing surgical videos. He and Dr Bush travel around the world conducting live-surgery workshops devoted to getting it right the first time.
In addition, Dr Snodgrass is a passionate advocate for surgical improvement through the 3Ps of Prospective data collection, Periodic outcomes review, and Practice changes to get better. He encourages surgeons worldwide to look at their personal results and then modify their surgeries to do key steps in the best way.
Dr Snodgrass is also co-founder and co-director of Operation Happenis, a non-profit dedicated to increasing public awareness of hypospadias and other penile birth defects.
