Humberto Chiang, MD, Clinica las Condes, Santiago, Chile
Humberto Chiang graduated from medical school at Catholic University of Chile, in 1981. Afterwards, he did his residency training in surgery and urology at the University of Chile.
In 1985 and 1986 he did the Fellowship Program in Neurourology, Urodynamic, Female Urology and Reconstructive Surgery at UCLA, with dr. Shlomo Raz.
Back in Chile, he founded the urology departments at Hospital Mutual de Seguridad (hospital dedicated to workers accidents) and Teleton Chile (hospital dedicated to disabled children).
At the same time, he was incorporated to the Urology Department of Clinica Las Condes, a prestigious private hospital of Chile.
In addition to his clinical work, in 1997, Doctor Chiang also graduated from a Magister in Business Administration program (MBA), at the Catholic University of Chile.
In Clinica Las Condes, he served the position of Academic Director (1998, 2001) and at Andres Bello University; he served the position of Dean for the Medical School (2001, 2004).
He has also served the position of President of the Board of Directors of Fundacion Teleton and Sociedad pro Ayuda del Niño Lisiado (2014, 2017) and Editor of the Revista Chilena de Urología (2005, 2007).
Currently, dr. Chiang is head of the Urodynamic Unit at the Department of Urology of Clinica Las Condes and also serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of Fundacion Teleton and Sociedad Pro Ayuda del Niño Lisiado.
