Kamyar Ghabili Amirkhiz, MD is currently an Associate Research Scientist at the Department of Urology, Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. He will be starting general surgery training at Yale in June 2019. He graduated with an MD from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences and later completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Brady Urological Institute, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He has published over 130 peer-reviewed manuscripts, co-authored two books, and been a recipient of several awards, including the 2016 Earl Nation Retrospectroscope Award by the American Urological Association (AUA). He is interested in the research of prostate MRI/ultrasound fusion biopsy and clinical outcomes in patients with urological neoplasms.
