Dr. Abella is Professor of Emergency Medicine and the Director of the Center for Resuscitation Science at the University of Pennsylvania. He has studied cardiac arrest and post arrest care for nearly 20 years, with funding from NIH, PCORI and other sources. He has authored over 200 manuscripts on resuscitation science topics. He is also the Medical Director of the Penn TTM Academy, an educational initiative to provide training for hospital providers in state-of-the-art post arrest care. His work has been featured on CNN with Sanjay Gupta, National Geographic, and 20/20.
