Percutaneous therapies for both native and prosthetic valve dysfunction are gaining credibility in the literature and companies are racing against each other to produce the next state-of-the-art prosthetic valve. While much of this work occurs in highly specialized academic centers the patients who need these therapies come from all over the country. The purpose of this workshop is to share the some of the patient-selection expertise that has been garnered over the recent past by experts in the field with cardiologists who deal with patients like these in their daily practice. The goal being to better equip the community to work-up these patients and to spark discussion on how we should be selecting patients for these therapies in the future. It is the aim of this workshop to also impart knowledge tips on how to image these patients and what to look for before sending them for one of these therapies.
