George ("Yorgo") Veenhuyzen was born and raised in Winnipeg where he studied medicine, internal medicine, and cardiology. He completed a felowship in adult cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Calgary where he was the director of the EP labs from 2006-2018. He is the director of the fellowship training program in electrophysiology at the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta. His clinical and research interests are in catheter ablation for cardiac arrhythmias. He loves ECGs.
