New England Journal of Medicine
Dr. Caren Solomon is a Deputy Editor at the New England Journal of Medicine, where she is responsible for the “Clinical Practice” series (a tri-weekly series of evidence-based review articles relevant to the practicing clinician), original articles related to women's health and general medicine, articles for the “Clinical Problem Solving” series (a monthly series of case discussions), and interactive cases . She is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and maintains a part-time clinical practice in Internal Medicine at the Fish Center for Women’s Health at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Solomon continues research on a part-time basis, collaborating on epidemiologic and clinical studies of gestational diabetes and other disorders of insulin resistance in women. She graduated from Harvard Medical School and earned an MPH at the Harvard School of Public Health. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine and fellowship in endocrinology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
