CHANTALE LAPIERRE, MD

Dr. Chantale Lapierre holds a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Sherbrooke (1993) and a Specialist’s Certificate in diagnostic radiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (1998). She sub-specialized in cardiopediatric radiology at CHU Sainte-Justine (1998-1999) and in pediatric radiology and cardiopediatric radiology at Geneva University Hospital – University of Geneva in Switzerland (1999).
In 1999, Dr. Lapierre began her career in pediatric diagnostic radiology at CHU Sainte-Justine (mother and child university hospital center), where she is still practicing. She acts as Head of the Medical Imaging Department since 2018.
Dr. Lapierre is Full Professor, Clinical Radiology, Department of Radiology, Radio-oncology and Nuclear Medicine at the University of Montreal. She has been Director of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program (University of Montreal) from 2011 to 2017.
Because of her reputation, she is a frequent lecturer in national and international congresses. She has been principal investigator or co-investigator in research projects. She is also author or co-author of 4 book chapters, 50 peer-reviewed articles and 125 research abstracts. She sits on different medical and university boards and committees.
