This workshop “Artificial intelligence in Cardiac Imaging: Where are we in 2019?” will include 4 presentations that outline the clinical use and research applications of artificial intelligence in cardiology. The first presentation will be an introduction to AI in imaging in general with a discussion of machine learning model. We will then discuss the role and clinical applications of AI in Echocardiography (second presentation), CT and nuclear cardiology (third presentation), and cardiac MRI (fourth presentation). We will be discussing the clinical applications of AI in these cardiac imaging modalities and future directions. In summary, workshop participants will learn the basic tools and language of AI, the current and future roles and applications of AI in multiple cardiac imaging modalities. LEARNING NEEDS SOURCES: The topics for this workshop were selected based on growing interest in the application of AI in medicine. A selection of imaging modalities was chosen to demonstrate the broad application in cardiovascular imaging and the unique advantages and challenges for each platform.
