This workshop is one of the Core Curriculum sessions. The workshop is directed at trainees, general cardiologists, and interventional cardiologists. These sessions are intended to introduce common topics encountered in the CAD population, as well as novel imaging and interventional techniques that can be utilized to improved outcomes in revascularization. There will be significant audience interaction as a component of the workshop.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

• discuss options for antithrombotic therapy in patients post angioplasty (in stable angina and ACS);
• discuss imaging modalities for calcific coronary artery disease; and
• review novel techniques in interventional approaches to patients with complex calcific coronary artery disease.
