Back by popular demand, the EQ (Emotional Quotient) in cardiac sciences session will deal with common career-related challenges that affect us all. This year we will hear colleagues from across the country discuss issues around topics of burnout, career transitions (both early and late career) and time management. We hope you can join us for what promises to be a lively discussion!!

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

• discuss prevalence of burnout in the cardiac sciences from physician and nursing perspectives. Discuss methods of burnout prevention;
• career transitions can be particularly difficult. Strategies to successfully transition in both early and late career will be discussed; and
• time management is a common struggle in cardiac sciences. Methods to manage busy career and family obligations will be discussed.
