Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

• review ACLS guidelines;
• develop an approach to the initial management of a critically ill patient; and
• review relevant CCS guidelines (STEMI - 2019, Heart Failure - 2017, Cardiac Arrest - 2016); and
• understand common communication barriers when caring for a critically ill patient.
