At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
understand the design, rationale, and results of the Canadian-led and recently published COMPLETE Trial (NEJM 2019);
discuss when the benefit of complete revascularization on major cardiovascular events (cardiovascular death and new MI) occurs and how the timing of staged complete revascularization may impact clinical outcomes (JACC 2019);
describe the clinical implications for Canadian patients with STEMI and multivessel disease; and
understand the possible impact of COMPLETE on global ACS guidelines.
