Dr. Hebert is Associate Professor at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois and dually trained in internal medicine and psychiatry and with oint appointments in the departments of internal medicine and psychiatry. In addition to being director of the psychiatric consultation service, he is also a hospitalist in internal medicine. Dr. Hebert completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at Brown University in Providence, RI. He completed a five-year combined residency training program in internal medicine and psychiatry at Rush University Medical Center in 2010 and has been on staff ever since. Dr. Hebert treats a wide array of emotional and behavioral problems that emerge in patient with medical, surgical, gynecological, and neurological illness and uses his combined training in both settings. He has been an invited speaker at the Academy of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry annual meetings as well as other national organizational meetings, including the Society of General Internal Medicine, where he has talked about integration of behavioral health in medical settings. He has also been recognized for his teaching efforts, having been awarded the Phoenix Award – given to the faculty member who exhibits the professional and personal qualities students should strive to attain -- from the graduating class of 2014 from Rush Medical College.
