Laura Duque is a research fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her areas of interest include consult-liaison (CL) psychiatry, catatonia, and mood disorders. She is primarily interested in studying the relationship between mental health and chronic diseases. She has been involved in five NIH-funded studies with the Cardiac Psychiatry Research Program at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is also actively engaged in research studies investigating clinical, neuroimaging, and epigenetic markers of catatonia. Recently, she joined the MGH Benson-Henry Institute, where she is contributing to grant writing, data analysis, manuscript writing, and poster presentations on mind-body interventions for chronic medical conditions. Her scholarship has yielded peer-review journal publications, including a recent first-author publication, additional manuscripts in preparation, and several poster presentations both nationally and internationally. She is going for residency training in psychiatry at Mayo Clinic this upcoming year.
