Steve is a Professional Civil Engineer (CA) and a UK Chartered Civil Engineer with 19 years of planning, design, construction and management experience. He is currently a San Francisco Bay Area manager for Stantec Water and leads the operation to provide services to a variety of Municipal and Government clients in the water and wastewater sector. He represents Stantec as an advocate for water/environmental issues among professional organizations, business partners and community stakeholders. His manages Stantec’s City and County of San Francisco account and is currently serving in a lead role on the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) Central Bayside System Improvement Project. He is Stantec’s lead for interfacing with SFPUC’s Community Benefits Policy and Stantec’s own Corporate Social Responsibility policy. Prior to California, Steve worked with MWH in Scotland and also served in the British Army as a Royal Engineer Captain. Steve has a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Management from the Queens University of Belfast, Northern Ireland. He lives in Oakland, is married with two kids and has a reputation for enjoying the outdoors – specifically adventure sports that some may call ‘extreme’.
