Suparna Mukhopadhyay is an environmental engineer with CDM Smith in their Dallas office who has her primary experience in wastewater process design and modeling. She is the process mechanical design engineer on secondary treatment process units like aeration basins and clarifiers, including evaluation of aeration technologies for her clients in North Texas. She has a B.S. in Mechanical engineering from Pune University, India and a M.Eng from Texas A&M University. While at Texas A&M, she was the President of the Water Environment Association of Texas (WEAT) Student Chapter there. Currently she is an active member of the WEAT Public Communications and Outreach and the Young Professionals Committees. Besides aspiring to be a process guru someday, Suparna enjoys community engagement activities like river cleanups and speaking to high school students about careers in STEM.
