This presentation will provide a detailed look at the potential impact of water conservation on one water reclamation plant's existing pumping systems operation, activated sludge process, effluent total dissolved solids concentrations, and expansion design trigger flow and loads, which may, in the future, be very different from today.

Learner Outcomes:

• Identify the potential impacts of water conservation on water reclamation plant operations and treatment plant performance.
• Establish an approach for including considerations of potential water conservation impacts that may result from recent regulatory changes as part of long-term capital improvements planning.
• Establish an approach for determining expansion design trigger flows and loads based on more concentrated flows that may result from recent regulatory changes to the indoor water use standards.
