Every WWTP with an outfall pipe must perform a condition assessment at some point and deal with the access challenges that come with it. We’ll discuss planning and logistics to promote a successful inspection and discuss approaches when unforeseen conditions arise.

Learner Outcomes:

• Discuss best practices and identify key groups/roles to support a treatment facility’s outfall inspection. .
• Assess impacts of large-scale shutdown and inspection efforts including: immediate process changes, confined-space entry, and unforeseen field conditions. .
• Discuss techniques for dealing with private easement owners that largely influence health and safety programs and inspection logistics.
