Orange County Sanitation District’s Level of Service (LOS) goal is to reduce the number of attributable odor complaints to ≤ 12 complaints per year. This presentation illustrates our comprehensive odor prevention approach and sheds light on the challenges the odor control team faced to meet the District’s goal.

Learner Outcomes:

• Get more familiar with the strategies developed, and actions taken by a water reclamation agency for a proactive odor control and effective odor complaint reduction.
• Become familiar with challenges that an odor team faces to tackle odor issues in densely population areas, e.g., Orange County, CA.
• Identify appropriate technologies, best practices, and effective control systems utilized for a proactive odor control.
