This session will present a student design project that won the CWEA’s Student Design Competition 2018 and participated in WEFTEC’s Student Design Competition 2018. The presentation will discuss key points of their design for the replacement of a wastewater pump station and appurtenant piping in Orange County, California.

Learner Outcomes:

Recognize what is expected when entering into the student design competition.
Have a basic understanding of collections systems and hydraulics.
Understand the design constraints and complications a collections system design must address.
