Trauma (including iatrogenic trauma) and underlying pathology can both lead to situations where air may accumulate where it does not belong in our small animal patients. This session will be filled with impressive case examples of pneumothorax, pneumomediastinum and subcutaneous emphysema. Pathophysiology of the underlying problems, diagnosis, and anesthetic and treatment considerations for these patients will be highlighted.
