Some of the most critical patients presenting on the emergency service in small animal medicine include those affected by newly diagnosed endocrine disease. This presentation will provide an overview of several endocrine emergencies — diabetes ketoacidosis, hyperglycemic hyperosmolar syndrome, hypoglycemia and hypoadrenocorticism — with a special focus on emergency management.
