Theresa Caridi, MD, is an assistant professor in the Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. After attending the University of Florida for medical school and radiology residency, Dr. Caridi completed a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the University of Pennsylvania. She then joined the faculty at Georgetown.
Dr. Caridi is board certified in radiology and also holds her specialty certification for interventional radiology. She currently serves as the medical student clerkship director for interventional radiology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Caridi is an active member of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) and is presently serving as an officer on the SIR Foundation Board of Directors as the Development Division Chair. She has been named a Washingtonian Top Doctor in 2018, an honor given to her as a preeminent physician in the DC, Maryland and Virginia region.
Special interests include the treatment of uterine fibroids and other uterine conditions, pelvic venous congestion/ varicocele, prostate hypertrophy, and pulmonary AVMs.
