As a project manager at D+R International, Ms. Burns oversees several projects and coordinates with clients and project stakeholders to achieve project goals. As program manager for the Attachments Energy Rating Council (AERC), Ms. Burns supports the development and operation of AERC, including organizational strategy, committee work, development and implementation of standards and policies, and outreach and membership development. She manages the Low-E Storm Window Retail Program for Focus on Energy Wisconsin, which developed from the 2017 pilot she also managed that exceeded stated goals of increasing sales of low-E storm windows through marketing and incentives. Ms. Burns also manages the development of a certified products database and web portal for the Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) by identifying the needs of BHMA staff, members, and stakeholders and implementing recommended solutions. She has previously provided analytical and research support to ENERGY STAR lighting and appliance programs and the DesignLights Consortium.
