Ethan Goldman is the Director of Customer Solutions at Open Energy Efficiency, where he helps efficiency program administrators and implementors to successfully incorporate automated, standardized measurement of energy efficiency so that behind-the-meter grid resources can be fully valued through pay-for-performance markets. He has been working on technology to support the green building industry since 2001. He first worked at BuildingGreen to create online versions of Green Spec and Environmental Building News so that builders and designers could get access to expert information at 2am. He later became the Energy Informatics Architect for VEIC, designing software to analyze data from smart thermostats, smart meters, and sub-meters. Ethan earned an MS from Carnegie Mellon University, where he researched Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM).
