Monday Afternoon Workshops
If only we could simply change how people operate and manage their homes to accommodate installed weatherization/retrofit measures, our goals for improved comfort, health and reduced energy use could be more reliably achieved. But we can’t. Our best opportunity is (within the framework of effective adult education) to build our ability to motivate and influence people to make real commitments to take actions that meet their self-interests and program goals. In this session we’ll focus on recognizing how we unintentionally influence others--with experience and reflection; review a range of tools for stimulating and recording action commitments; and create a checklist to apply in our client education endeavors. Attendance is limited.
