Many people assume that comfort is primarily determined by the thermostat set-point(s). Not true! We have the potential to be far more comfortable with less energy if we understand the fundamentals of human thermal comfort (ASHRAE 55) and the variety of environmental, physiological, and psychological factors that affect it. Learn how to apply comfort concepts to your occupant education efforts and/or as part of an energy upgrade or home remodeling project. Note: This session involves individual, small & total group reflections. It is less about space conditioning comfort strategies than tapping the interactions and satisfaction between occupants and their surroundings.
