Learn how being involved in the field and educating contractors on best practices can lead to increased quality of work, greater customer satisfaction, and even indoor air quality benefits. During this session, experts from New Jersey's Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program will describe the components needed for a successful HPwES program, lessons they have learned from being actively involved with their contractors and how they were able decrease the amount of field inspection findings through contractor education. Also during the session, learn how changing field practices to strategically air seal and insulate in places beyond the attic, paired with the installation of supply and exhaust ventilation, can impact indoor air quality.

• Capture a checklist of Do’s and Don’ts that will assist in completing high quality jobs
• Learn how the NJ program ensures their contractors are highly trained and skilled to perform work. Also, highlight a contractor remediation procedure as a tool to manage contractor performance
