Governments across the U.S. are interested in improving the energy use of our country’s housing stock. Whether for customer protection, environmental, or economic growth reasons, many jurisdictions are now supporting energy information disclosure. Come learn how states and cities are pursuing these policies and how successful policies are being implemented. After presentations from jurisdictions with established energy disclosure policies, the lessons learned from different policy strategies will be discussed, along with how these policies have affected the housing market so far and may affect the market in the future. Recommendations for how to standardize these types of policies will also be provided.
