Better indoor air quality can involve dehumidification, filtration, and radon mitigation. Each of these involve electricity use, however there is a huge range of electricity cost and performance possible.
Join in examining opportunities to reduce each of these loads while maximizing the benefits. Strategies include higher performance building enclosures, more efficient equipment, better design & installation, as well as strategies to help to ensure that the systems operate as intended. The incorporation of low cost monitoring for occupant/contractor feedback will be examined. Case studies will demonstrate the range of energy use, performance, and savings possible. The focus of this session is not health impacts or benefits or comprehensive home upgrades, but more narrowly the electric use of the different intervention strategies.
