Home energy labeling and disclosures are playing an increasingly important role in informing homeowners about the energy efficiency of homes. By making the energy efficiency features visible, labeling and disclosure can inform real estate transactions by documenting improvements in a consistent, standardized way for real estate agents, home inspectors, appraisers, lenders and homebuyers.
This session will provide new information and resources about home energy labeling and disclosure initiatives, including ways to address barriers to expanded adoption of voluntary and mandatory home energy disclosures. Presenters will share firsthand experience of how labeling and disclosure can enable investments in home upgrades using case studies and examples from the field.
