Dr. Doss received her baccalaureate in nursing degree from Troy University, a master of science in nursing degree with a focus on maternal infant nursing education from Troy University, and a doctor of philosophy from Georgia State University of Atlanta GA. She has almost 20 years of experience as a women’s health nurse (RN) in clinical and educational settings, and has been certified by the National Credentialing Center in Inpatient Obstetrics since 2003. Her clinical research has focused on women's health. In the last two years, she has been a podium presenter at local, regional, and national women’s health conferences including AWHONN and ACOG. Dr. Doss also has over 15 years of experience as a nurse educator. She has taught across nursing curriculum in ASN, BSN, and RN-BSN programs. Her primary undergraduate teaching responsibilities are focused on maternal-infant nursing and senior practicum. At the graduate level, she teaches in the nurse educator program and has served as chair and member of several DNP committees. Dr. Doss has participated in grant writing, implementation, and monitoring as both a PI and a Co-PI on multiple small internal projects and was recently awarded an $803,000 federal grant to implement a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner training program at Georgia College.
