Professor Cindy Peternelj-Taylor, Professor, College of Nursing, University of Saskatchewan is committed to the ongoing development and advancement of forensic and correctional nursing through education, practice, and research. Much of her career has focused on professional role development for nurses and other healthcare professionals who work with vulnerable populations in secure environments. Her research and scholarship focuses on clinical and ethical issues that emerge from practice, including boundary violations, whistleblowing, and Othering. Her current research explores the roles, responsibilities and learning needs of provincial correctional nurses. Her publications can be found in a number of professional journals and books. She is currently Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Forensic Nursing, and a Distinguished Fellow with the International Association of Forensic Nurses.
