Mrs. Sharp is an RN and worked in the ED 18 years. She is a 1996 graduate of The University of West Alabama, School of Nursing. She worked as a SANE and is SANE-A and SANE-P. She established a Pediatric Forensic Exam Clinic in Meridian, MS. She is a consultant to the MS Attorney General Office. She has testified as a medical expert in sexual assault, domestic violence and strangulation in Multiple Courts in MS and Federal Court Martials. She has taught the SANE Course for nurses across the US and worked with The Office for Victims of Crime, The Department of Justice, IAFN and Indian Health Services. Mrs. Sharp is employed by MSCASA as The Special Projects Coordinator where she provides education and technical assistance to multiple agencies in MS. She has also worked performing forensic medical exams through Tele-Medicine in Tupelo, MS for the University of MS Medical Center Childrens Hospital. Mrs. Sharp is currently a member of the IAFN Board of Directors, Director at Large; AL Chapter IAFN President Elect and Former Director at Large for the West AL Area; IAFN Government Affairs Committee and Campus Sexual Assault Committee; National Pediatric Protocol Work Group and the MS Governors Office Human Trafficking Committee.
