Masahiro Ishikane is Infectious disease physician trained in Japan with particular focus on infection prevention and control (IPC). He had worked at Division of Health Security and Emergencies, World Health Organization Western Pacific Region (WPRO) as a short-term consultant in 2014. Currently, he is attending staff of Disease Control and Prevention Center, National Center for Global Health and Medicine (NCGM), and senior researcher of AMR Clinical Reference Center, NCGM, Japan since April 2017. He was certified Field Epidemiology Training Program Japan (FETP-J) in 2016, and graduated PhD student of Tohoku University, Japan with Global infectious disease and Epidemiology on March 2018. So far, he published some papers about AMR, IPC and epidemiology of the infectious disease as first or co-author. His research interests were AMR and IPC as the Antimicrobial stewardship program (ASP).
