Nicole K. Yamada, MD, MS is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Neonatal and Developmental Medicine, Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and is an attending neonatologist in the level IV neonatal intensive care unit at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. Dr. Yamada is the Associate Director of the Center for Advanced Pediatric and Perinatal Education (CAPE, http://cape.stanford.edu) and is experienced in the use of simulation for research and training. Dr. Yamada also has a Master of Science in Human Factors and Ergonomics. Her research interests include neonatal resuscitation, high stakes communication, and human performance.
