Researchers and learners struggle with information overload and related challenges such as credibility confusion, algorithm opacity, and container collapse every day. Librarians are uniquely positioned to develop service programs that respond to these challenges. By drawing on their knowledge of scholarly communications, as well as information management strategies and tools, librarians can support scholars in developing skills and strategies needed to thrive in today's information rich environment. In doing so, librarians can demonstrate the value they bring to research and patient care.
