Gerald (Jerry) Perry, MLS, AHIP, FMLA, is Associate Dean of the University of Arizona Libraries and Director of the University of Arizona Health Sciences Library. He received his MLS degree from the State University of New York-Buffalo. Perry is active in MLA, has served on the Board of Directors, and is a past president. He has served on the editorial boards of the Journal of the Medial Library Association and the open access journal, Biomedical Digital Libraries (BioMed Central). Perry is also active in the Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries (AAHSL), for which he is presently serving on the Board of Directors. Past AAHSL/MLA commitments include service on the MLA/AAHSL Joint Legislative Task Force. He has published extensively on library administration, medical and consumer informatics, and evidence-based practice. His honors include selection as an inaugural fellow in the National Library of Medicine/Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries Leadership Fellow Program.
