Senior Public Health Preparedness Planner
Southern Nevada Health District
Misty Robinson, MA, Senior Public Health Preparedness Planner, Southern Nevada Health District
I have been a Public Health Preparedness Planner for more than 13 years. I participated in the response to the October 1, 2017 mass shooting as the ESF-8 representative in the County's Multi-Agency Coordination Center. Since the shooting, a long-term recovery structure has been established by Clark County in which I am active in three working groups: the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center Working Group, the Responder Support Working Group, and the After Action Working Group. These groups continue to meet and work on recovery efforts more than a year after the incident. As a direct result of the shooting as well as other emergencies throughout the state the State of Nevada has created a Nevada Resilience Commission, on which I am a voting member.
