This pre-conference session will offer local health department leadership and performance improvement staff the chance to learn more about the new Healthy People (HP) 2030 framework, highlighting changes from HP 2020. Additionally, the session will offer the opportunity for participants to provide feedback on the implementation of HP 2030. Through a workshop designed to tap local public health experience in the application of HP in performance improvement efforts, the specific needs of local health departments according to jurisdictional population size will be captured. Finally, presenters and participants will explore strategies for using HP 2030 to develop cross-sectoral partnerships to assess and address the social determinants of health through performance improvement efforts.
