Gambling is Dicey: Encouraging Decisiveness Before Students Fold Under the Pressure

Wednesday, November 13
2:15 PM - 3:30 PM
Location: Constellation C

More recently, students are increasingly seeking input and validation as they explore study abroad programming. As a result, we must design how we engage with students in the study abroad program selection process to encourage intentionality. This session will focus on how to navigate student apathy in the context of program choice. Presenters will highlight how taking a gamble on program choice weakens the value of a purposeful study abroad experience. Participants will be able to take away new and re-defined strategies to help students manage how they go about choosing a program that is the best fit.
