This session is jointly presented by a communications professional and an education abroad office. We all know that we need to effectively tell our story in order to advocate for more resources. We will discuss how to do that creatively and effectively as well as how to use communications to build awareness, outreach, enrollment and impact.

I'm currently the Associate Director of Education Abroad at UMBC. I have been an international educator for 12 years. After studying abroad in France through ISEP and receiving my bachelor's from UMBC, I pursued a Master's in International Higher Education Leadership from Old Dominion University. I have worked at a total of 4 public US higher education institutions and ended up back at UMBC where I have the privilege of building the education abroad program. I believe in the power of education abroad and it's potential for individual and intercultural growth. In my free time, I'm working on my PhD.
