Democratizing Data

Thursday, November 14
2:30 PM - 3:45 PM
Location: Constellation D

As international educational professionals, we have a wealth of data and information about our students at our fingertips and the deluge of information continues to grow. While data analytics has historically been the domain of high-level professionals at our institutions, new, free tools make it possible for anyone to gain meaningful insights into their data.

Together, we'll explore the ways in which we can use these tools and our existing to make better informed decisions about program development, requirements and acceptances to programs, and identify student populations that may need support, just to name a few. In this session, we’ll look at two case studies that show how these tools can help shape pre-departure decisions and provide quick and easy access to post-experience reporting. We’ll leave plenty of time for questions, discussions, and additional case studies and conversation.
