Tuesday National Organization Roundtable Topics (By Invitation Only)
The American Fluoridation Society (AFS) successfully confronts challenges to community water fluoridation (CWF) from opponents in the U.S. AFS fills a niche between all private and public professional groups that support CWF by providing Technical Assistance (TA) to any community faced with a cessation, continuation, restart, or startup challenge. AFS offers a full array of support, strategy, science, consultation backed by great depth of practical political and adversarial public debating experience and expert testimony with “boots on the ground” when requested by communities. AFS is a rapidly deployable group of healthcare professionals who donate their time at little or no cost. Since its inception, AFS has received a grant from Delta Dental of California’s Research and Education Fund. AFS also provides training of statewide stakeholders to empower and raise their confidence to speak to and educate public officials. These coaching programs are focused on states undergoing the heaviest CWF challenges in the country. Our website provides past and present claims made by opponents to CWF with the refutation and credible scientific hyperlinks to allow advocates to freely use this information (AmericanFluoridationSociety.org).
