This lunch plenary session will address the strengths and challenges of the Native American, Native Hawaiian, Alaska Native, two spirit, trans and GNB populations accessing healthcare and other vital services. The panelists will present data and their own perspectives on current issues affecting their local communities. They will share personal experiences and discuss a broad range of topics- including transphobia in healthcare settings, stigma and discrimination, HIV, trauma-informed gender affirming care, inclusion of indigenous Native American healing traditions and structural barriers in healthcare provisions. Panelists will also discuss resources, employment, housing instability, education and other social determinants of health affecting the Native American, Native Hawaiian, Alaska Native, two spirit, transgender and gender non-binary identified populations in the U.S.
