Maria Cecilia Zea, Ph.D., Professor of Psychology at the George Washington University, is the Founding Director of the GWU Latino Health Research Center and the Co-Director of the Social and Behavioral Science Core of the DC Center for AIDS Research. She is also the Scientific and Programmatic Review Officer of the CFAR Adelante Research Program. Dr. Zea has received three R01s and an R34. Her research focuses on HIV prevention among Latino gay and bisexual men and transgender women in the US and Colombia. She mentors early career faculty, post-docs and graduate students.
